Neostrata Problem Dry Skin Cream
A couple of weeks ago we received some samples that had been sent to our clinic here in Droitwich, Worcestershire. One I was particularly interested in trying was the Neostrata Problem Dry Skin Cream.
This is part of their Targeted Treatment range.
Many patients within our clinic ask me what I would recommend for hard dry skin & I think I’ve found it!
The Neostrata Problem Dry Skin cream was formulated by Dermatologists to help reduce areas of hard, dry skin and having worn sandals & high heels throughout the summer, I felt my feet were due a treat!
What Neostrata says: ‘This rich cream contains a high concentration of polyhydroxy and alpha hydroxy acids to exfoliate severely dry, rough and thickened skin in areas such a heels, knees and elbows. Significant improvement has been demonstrated in heavily calloused skin in as little as 3 weeks of once daily use.’
Key ingredients/benefits: Neostrata Problem Dry Skin cream contains 20% alpha hydroxy acids (AHAS), which smooth and moisturize severely dry skin, beeswax and Pro-vitamin E for moisturizing properties. The formulation is made to reduce irritation.
How to use: This product can be applied up to twice daily. Reduce application to once daily or every other day on sensitive areas such as underarms, face, behind knees, bend of arms and groin.
With this information in mind I took away a few samples & used them for the following two weeks; I applied to the dry skin on my heels (my problem area) every night before bed and-when I had time! First thing in the morning.
I washed my hands thoroughly after use due to the potency of the ingredients.
What I thought:
After a few days my skin felt softer from using this product. After two weeks the area looked incredibly smooth.
I didn’t even need to use my trusty foot file, which I usually tend to do all over the bottom of my feet twice weekly. It was also nice to slather this cream on my dry heels after a shower.
I would recommend this product. I actually purchased the generously large tub (100g) myself yesterday!
